I'm the co-founder of Pluribo, a New York-based semantic web startup.
My life does not bundle cleanly into any single theme. But it does seem to dance quite a bit around this thesis: I believe fervently that technology, if developed responsibly, has the ability to enhance the human condition.
Over the last decade, I've done a lot to explore the different aspects of this assertion. I earned my technical merit badges at MIT, picking up degrees in neuroscience and computer science. Later on, thanks to a Marshall Scholarship, I nurtured the humanistic side of my mind, earning graduate degrees in modern history from Oxford and public policy from Cambridge. Most recently, I worked at McKinsey & Company to learn how the private sector can better take on the responsibility of being the central mediator between technology and society.
Now, at Pluribo, I'm tackling this challenge with my bare hands. We are working to build a class of technologies that we hope in some small way can expand the scope of human ability.
My blog, much like my journey, will span a wide variety of topics. I hope you will join the discussion so that we can get to know each other better. Thanks for visiting.
